A memorable moment in Barbara’s story is how she met her husband Fletcher "Bill" Reynolds on a blind date at Ohio State University. Bill came from a family involved with zoo management and veterinary medicine, including his father who was director of the Cleveland Zoo. Barbara shares details about their wedding at Spring Lake Country Club and their honeymoon on an Army ship traveling to Bermuda and Puerto Rico.
Bill's career as a veterinarian took many forms, including military service and eventually running a veterinary clinic in New Jersey that remains a family business today. Barbara and Bill raised three children, traveled internationally for veterinary conferences, and balanced family life with their careers.
Faith plays an important role in Barbara’s life, and she hopes her family embraces their Christian beliefs. She is active in both her Presbyterian church and her daughter’s Lutheran church.
